Oh hello!
Welcome to the workshop of Brodie Hannibal! I am a transplant from the volcanic high desert of eastern Oregon- a landscape of rugged beauty and incredible geology.
What initially started as a general love for exploring austere outdoor environments has slowly turned into an obsession with both lapidary art and metalsmithing. All of the pieces in my collection start as rough stone, usually found during my travels, that then I cut and shape in my workshop and studio.
While I am largely self taught, it would not be right to say that I am self made. Many people have generously offered their time, experience, support, and advice to me over the years and none of what I do would be possible without them.
When I’m not making art or jewelry I work as an environmental engineer and when I’m not doing that you can find me riding gravel bikes with friends, hiking with my dog, or planning my next trip back to the desert with my lovely partner.
